Our Story
The Arabian Gulf Company was established in 2004 with Commercial Registration No. (7070098) dated May 31, 2004 and began its economic activity in the field of extracting chromium from quarries, classifying and marketing it, and exporting the bulk of the production to international markets; the rest is marketed in the internal market. The company started its activities with a limited number of heavy equipment and machinery, as well as a limited number of skilled and ordinary workers in the production sites, in addition to the administrators in the company’s main office.
“AGM spent, during the 18 years from the start of its production activity, more than 33 million Omani riyals on production assets, development and operation of a large number of quarries in different states.”

During the past year 2021, the company achieved a record (250,000) tons, even though it was the year of the Corona pandemic. In the current strategic plan (2022-2026), the company aims to increase the volume of production to 500,000 tons annually.

With increasing in the volume of production and the gradual increase in revenues year to year, the company proceeded to expand its production activity by increasing the number of equipment (excavators) and heavy machinery (trucks) owned by the company, reaching (40) excavators and trucks, in addition to hiring (22) of equipment and machinery. The company has succeeded in achieving good results at the level of production and export, which enabled it to enhance its production and financial position.

Chromium is a lustrous, brittle, hard metal. Its colour is silver-gray and it can be highly polished. It does not tarnish in air, when heated it borns and forms the green chromic oxide. Chromium is unstable in oxygen, it immediately produces a thin oxide layer that is impermeable to oxygen and protects the metal below.
